Welcome to our website!

​Ballyboughal N.S. currently has eight mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. There are also three Learning Support teachers, along with an administrative principal. Pupils at Ballyboughal N.S. enjoy a broad range of educational experiences in all subjects of the primary school curriculum. They may also participate in extra-curricular activities, notably Gaelic football, basketball and athletics. The school day begins at 8.50am and ends at 2.30pm. Pupils in Infant classes finish at 1.30pm.
 
Admission application forms are available from the school office or may be downloaded from this website. Places are allocated in accordance with the Admission Policy of Ballyboughal N.S. Parents who wish to discuss enrolment may contact the school secretary to make an appointment with the Principal.

Our Mission Statement

 Ballyboughal National School is a co-educational Catholic primary school which strives to provide a well-ordered, caring, happy learning environment where the intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual needs of the pupils are identified and addressed.
 
The school is committed to enabling children of all levels of ability to reach their full potential and aims to provide an inclusive environment that allows the children full access to all areas of learning. We welcome the support and involvement of parents in the work of the school.

In Ballyboughal National School we believe that young children grow and develop best in an atmosphere that is welcoming, positive and secure. Every member of the school community is valued and treated with respect. Our motto “Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí” is at the heart of our philosophy.
