Ballyboughal N.S. currently has eight mainstream classes from Junior Infants to Sixth Class. There are also three Learning Support teachers, along with an administrative principal. Pupils at Ballyboughal N.S. enjoy a broad range of educational experiences in all subjects of the primary school curriculum. They may also participate in extra-curricular activities, notably Gaelic football, basketball and athletics. The school day begins at 8.50am and ends at 2.30pm. Pupils in Infant classes finish at 1.30pm.
Enrolment forms are available from the school office or may be downloaded from this website. Places are allocated in accordance with the Enrolment Policy of Ballyboughal N.S. Parents who wish to discuss enrolment may contact the school secretary to make an appointment with the Principal.

Memories of Ballyboughal National School
Congratulations to everyone who was involved in making our recent Cookery Demonstration such a great success. On behalf of the Board of Management I wish to offer a very big THANK YOU to our very talented Head Chef – Richie Wilson. Thank you also to the guest chefs from The Seamus Ennis Centre and The Brew.
We are very grateful to Mark Corless who provided the audio-visual presentation and to David Geoghegan who was the MC for the evening.
The event was sponsored by Richie Wilson of Fire Restaurant and Sole Seafood and Grill, along with Country Crest, Keelings, The Brew, The Seamus Ennis Centre and McNally Joinery.
Raffle prizes were donated or sponsored by Allure Beauty Salon, Bling Things, Burke’s Chocolate Factory, Chez Emily, Charton Motor Company, Country Crest, Davick Transport, Dunnes Stores, Fingal Farm Supplies, Fire Restaurant, Karl Henry, Keoghs, McInerney Saunders, PJs Playcentre, Red Velvet, Service Stop Limited, Sole Seafood and Grill, The Book Haven, The Brew and The Village Inn.
It is great for the school to have such great support among the local business community which made the Cookery Demonstration possible. The Board of Management, the Parents Association, the staff and the pupils really appreciate everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
